Average temperatures in Gilgit vary greatly. Considering humidity, temperatures feel nice some of the year, but often too hot in the summer and cold in the winter with a chance of rain or snow throughout most of the year. Prices for hotels and flights will be most expensive during these months, though you can save if you purchase well in advance. Tourists are unlikely to visit Gilgit in October.
